One of the 3 areas I was Product Managing was a B2B eCommerce platform whilst I was working at VavaCars which is a subsidiary of Vitol and is one of Europe’s largest car purchasers and sellers of cars.

One initiative I led was the redesigning and modernisation of the whole B2B eCommerce platform which included:

  • Modernising the design and UX; Easier navigation on desktop and mobile, i.e. 4 cars per row, longer page widths, floating menu, double header, multi-column footer, improved mobile UX and clearer call to actions.
  • Improving eCommerce features; Added auto-bidding functionality and made buy-it-now options easier to use.
  • Created modular checkout baskets; Allowing customers to purchase bolt-on services, i.e. finance, extended warranty, etc
  • Increasing the amount of sidebar search filters, so customers can find cars easier based on popular attributes
  • Registration automation; So that all required data is captured in one go saving customer and staff time for speedier account activation
  • Gamification: Showing partial content for non-logged-in users to encourage them to register or log in, i.e. latest cars but no price
